Andrew Flynn BEd Hons

Senior Lecturer

Andrew Flynn is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education at the 樱花影视.

Andrew studied at the University of Wales College Newport, qualifying as a primary teacher with specialism in physical education. He subsequently taught in a couple of primary schools over a combined period of nine years with various responsibilities such as coordinator in mathematics, and physical education. Andrew also taught physical education on the School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) courses for Bexley, and also a school mentor for students training as teachers.

In 2007, Andrew moved to lecturing at the 樱花影视 on degrees with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), the accelerated degree, and Post Graduate Certificates in Education (PGCE). His areas of teaching are in physical education, mathematics, arts in education, and child psychology and development.

 He is currently working towards a Master's degree in Education.

Research / Scholarly interests

Andrew's research interests particularly concern the current national priority for physical education in primary schools. He is researching school sports specialists, exploring the nature of their role's responsibility and impact on child development, having written a paper on the Attitudes of BA Education Year 1 towards the teaching of physical education in primary schools.
